Frequently Asked Questions
How do I play?
Playing power hour is pretty easy and self explanatory, but every once in a while I get emails from people who just don't get it.
First thing you need to do is download a compatible media program. I recommend winamp ( www.winamp.com) or iTunes (www.itunes.com).
Next thing you'll want to do is create a playlist of the desired length of playing time. So if you wanted to play for one hour, add 60 songs to a playlist and press play.
Now that you've got your music playing, open myPowerHour2 and click the play button. Select your player and the desired play time and click Start.
Every time the song changes, take a shot (beer recommended if over the age of 21, water for the youngins... haha).
Why does myPowerHour2 cost money?
I decided to make myPowerHour2 non-free because I'm paying out of my pocket to keep the website up. I'm in college and don't have tons of money - so having a little extra income to help support the website is helpful. If you haven't registered... please do!
How do I install myPowerHour2?
After downloading the program, you simply follow the instructions in the installer and then open the program through the start menu.
How can I make a power hour CD using myPowerHour2?
Although myPowerHour2 itself cannot make the CD, you can record an hours worth session of playing and then burn that to a CD. (coming soon...)
I registered, how long will it be until I get my registration code?
You should most likely get your registration code within 24 hours.
Why doesn't myPowerHour work with [insert music player]?
If you are using a media player and want myPowerHour and want additional support, email me and i'll most likely include it in the next version.
Why doesn't Windows Media Player display the song name in Fullscreen Mode?
Windows Media Player 10 has pretty bad support, the time and effort that would be spent to add this functionality just wasn't worth it. I recommend Winamp, then iTunes.
